Telangana is the 29th state of India formed by bifurcation with Andhra Pradesh. In the year 1956, Hyderabad state which is known as Telangana has merged with Andhra to form Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is joint capital for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh till ten years as instructed by Govt. of India. First chief minister of Telangana is K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
State is bordered by Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh states. Telangana is well known for cultural heritage it’s economic, social and historical entity has a glorious history of at least two thousand five hundred years. Telangana is situated on the deccan plateau, it covers 44,300 sq miles.
Two main rivers Godavari and Krishna flow through Telangana region. Telangana consists of three major National parks namely Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park in Hyderabad district, Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park and Mrugavani National Park in Ranga Reddy district.
Economy of Telangana is mainly driven by Agriculture. Few major crops are rice, cotton, sugar cane, mango, tobacco, sunflower, peanuts. Telangana government always gives priority to agriculture field. CM KCR has introduced few schemes for the upliftment of Agriculture field.
Relgious tourisms include famous Yadagirigutta Temple, Bhadrachalam Temple, Gnana Saraswati Temple, The thousand pillar temple in Warangal, Vemulawada, Keesaragutta, Ramappa Temple, Medak Cathedral at Medak, Buddhist centres at Nelakondapalli, Dhulikatta Phanigiri and Kolanpaka.
Education in Telangana
Coming to education in Telangana, state has lot of famous universities for higher education, primary and secondary schools. Telangana consists of various universities and colleges encouraging different stages of education like fields of arts, humanities, science, engineering, law, medicine, business, and veterinary sciences, with undergraduate and post graduation courses.
Under School education department first to tenth class studies are conducted where as tenth classs or SSC is conducted by Board of secondary education.
